Automotive Week 2016, Korea's auto parts and aftermarket trade show held in KINTEX, ended on Sep. 4 after three days of festivity.
In its 10th, the show this time successfully placed itself as Korea's largest service trade show that displays the present and future of automobile industry.
Choi Jung-ho, Vice Minister of Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, had said the following at the opening ceremony: Automotive Week has contributed greatly to the development and stimulation of aftermarket. For the development of car industry which is one of the major driving forces of our economy, aftermarket that covers the transaction, parts, mechanics, tuning, and parts recycling has to develop further.
This year, the show has been made up of four shows, Auto Service Korea, Tuning Show, Auto Camping 2016, and Auto Parts, a new mini show that has been created this year.
Lotte Auto Fiesta, the mini show displaying foreign cars, has been prepared with Lotte Department Store and ten foreign cars including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus, Infinity, Peugeot, Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover, Ford, Lincoln, and Macerati were displayed at the show, available for sales. One-hundred two cars have been sold at the show.
